David Cao is one of the founders of Alcanta International College and is a member of the board of directors. He graduated from Sichuan University, China with an M.A. (Applied Linguistics), and from the University of Manchester, UK with a M.Ed (TESOL).He taught at the University of Foreign Studies between 1989 and 1997 and was President of Alcanta College of Foreign Languages between 2007 and 2010. He has been an ESL researcher and practitioner for more than 20 years, teaching English to Chinese students at different levels and running workshops on ESL teaching methodology for local teachers. His dream is to internationalize Chinese education by promoting IBDP and helping young people become active citizens in a globalized world, and he remains committed and devoted to his dream.Canada, Queens University, MBA, M.Ed
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy (Hons.) and a Master of Education degree in Philosophy of Education & Curriculum Design from Queen’s University, Kingston. He completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Liverpool where he focused on Leadership and Finance & Accounting. Before moving to China and the AIC, he held a number of different positions: the Head of English Department, the IB Theory of Knowledge Coordinator, editor for professional publications, Chief Operating Officer for technology leadership programs, and consultant in the area of the area of curriculum design and assessment. He has also been an IB English examiner since 2007. He has been active within the communities he has lived by coaching soccer, badminton and basketball, supervising debates and chess clubs as well as organizing many charity events. He loves traveling, reading, writing and listening to classical music. He is also a sport fanatic, and loves watching soccer, ice-hockey and basketball. Dr Zhengwei Wei graduated from and taught at a Chinese university in the early and mid–80s. He obtained a doctoral degree from the University of Edinburgh of Scotland, UK, in 1996. He taught at several universities in UK and Israel in the 1990s and until 2008; He was appointed as Examiner Responsible for Chinese A1 by the International Baccalaureate Organization ("IBO") in 1993 and elected as member of its Diploma Review Committee as well as the Board of Examiners.
